Install Codalus IDE

Free and open source. The installers update themselves from signed feeds, and the debugger is included.

Before you install

Codalus runs its helper processes on .NET 11 (release candidate 2 or later until .NET 11's release in November), and builds your solutions with any SDK from 2.1.200 on. When that runtime is missing, Codalus says so and offers to install it, and it doesn't download an update whose runtime isn't installed. Details

Debian and Ubuntu (apt)

curl -fsSL https://codalus.dev/codalus-packages.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /usr/share/keyrings/codalus.gpg
echo "deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/codalus.gpg] mirror+https://codalus.dev/apt/mirrors.txt stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/codalus.list
sudo apt update && sudo apt install codalus

Needs apt 1.6 or later (Debian 10, Ubuntu 18.04). Added the repository before 0.4.0? Run the second command again.

Fedora and RHEL (dnf)

sudo curl -fsSL -o /etc/yum.repos.d/codalus.repo https://codalus.dev/rpm/codalus-stable.repo
sudo dnf install codalus

Use nightly in place of stable for nightly builds.

openSUSE (zypper)

sudo rpm --import https://codalus.dev/codalus-packages.asc
sudo zypper addrepo https://codalus.dev/rpm/codalus-stable.repo
sudo zypper install codalus

The same rpm repository, so it updates with the system. Added it before 0.4.0? Remove it with sudo zypper removerepo codalus-stable and add it again.

Arch Linux (AUR)

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/codalus-bin.git
cd codalus-bin && makepkg -si

Or with an AUR helper: yay -S codalus-bin.

Stable and nightly

Stable releases come from master. Nightly builds come from each change to develop that passes the tests on every platform, and are marked as prereleases. The newest is 0.7.0-nightly.20261024.539.

All releases

Check the download
